Tigreal
Warrior of Dawn
“They call me a wall. Good. Walls do not move. Walls do not beg. Walls do not fall.”
— The Legend
Before the Age of Chaos, when the Light of Dawn still burned bright across the land, there existed an order of warriors known as the Paladins of the Sacred Light. They were not merely soldiers — they were living embodiments of divine will, chosen by the Light itself to stand as guardians against the encroaching darkness.
Tigreal was not born into this order. He earned his place through a trial that broke lesser men: the Trial of the Eternal Flame, in which a candidate must stand unmoving within a column of sacred fire for seven days and seven nights. Most candidates lasted hours. Some lasted a day. Tigreal lasted all seven days — and when the fire finally died, he emerged not burned, but transformed. The Light had recognized something in him: an unbreakable will, a heart without shadow.
He rose through the ranks of the Paladins with terrifying speed, his tactical brilliance matched only by his physical power. Where other Paladins relied on the Light's blessing to enhance their natural abilities, Tigreal seemed to generate his own — as if the sacred fire had not merely tested him, but fundamentally remade him.
When the Abyss launched its great invasion, it was Tigreal who held the line at the Battle of the Broken Gates — a confrontation so catastrophic that it reshaped the geography of the Eastern Continent. For six hours, he stood alone against a tide of demons while his fellow Paladins evacuated the civilian population. He took wounds that should have killed him a dozen times over. He did not fall.
The battle cost him everything: his order was shattered, his brothers and sisters scattered to the winds, and the sacred temple that had been their home for centuries was reduced to rubble. But the civilians survived. Every last one.
Now Tigreal wanders the Land of Dawn, his armor battered but his spirit unbroken, seeking to rebuild what was lost — and to ensure that when the darkness comes again, there will be a shield strong enough to stop it.
